With over 30 years of experience in patent law, I have prepared and prosecuted hundreds of U.S. and foreign patent applications. I have represented a variety of clients, from individuals and start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. The patent applications come from diverse fields such as aerospace, medical devices, cryosurgical systems, orthotic systems, exercise systems, agricultural systems, electrostimulation systems, arthroscopic surgical devices and consumer products. Along with the U.S. and global patent prosecution, I have obtained the correlative U.S. and foreign trademarks to complement the business units of my clients. A listing of many of the other patents and trademarks that I have prepared are available upon request.
After graduating UCLA in 1979 with a B.S. in Engineering, I went on to earn my law degree in 1984 from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Upon graduation, I became an in-house intellectual property attorney for Rockwell International Corp., and remained as an intellectual property counsel for the Boeing Co. (Space and Communications) after its purchase of Rockwell, until entering private practice in 2001.
